The 5th Mediterranean Green Economy Forum

November 24th, Casa Llotja de Mar, Barcelona

Think Green

The ECO MEDA GREEN FORUM aims to address the business needs in terms of profitability and competitiveness, while understanding the environment as a fundamental part of company strategy.

By creating a framework for discussion and reflection among the senior experts and key actors in the public and private sectors, the forum aims to provide relevant information to policy makers who have to implement the priorities of the Union for the Mediterranean, while promoting the green economy for companies.

The main objective is to promote the exchange of knowledge between experts regarding the priorities and challenges of the environment, and to promote the green economy, helping companies implement sustainability programs through the efficient use of resources and cleaner production.

The Forum will open with an overview of the advantages for the companies of integrating the environment in their business strategy, from various sectors relevant to the Mediterranean. The other sessions will focus on three key environmental and economic challenges for the Mediterranean: urban planning, solid waste and energy. For each of them, speakers will highlight success stories in the sector and opportunities for the green economy and green investment.
